Mysterium

The world premiere of The Oratorio Mysterium by Hafliði Hallgrímsson at the Festival of Sacred Arts was Saturday the 1st of June. An audio recording was made and played on the Icelandic Radio today. Here you can listen and enjoy.

Performers: The Hallgrimskirkja Motet Choir, Schola cantorum, Herdís Anna Jónasdóttir soprano, Hanna Dóra Sturludóttir alto, Elmar Gilbertsson tenor, Oddur A. Jónsson bass and Hallgrimskirkja Chamber Orchestra. Conductor: Hörður Áskelsson.

The Icelandic Theatre Awards

Today I was nominated to the Icelandic Theatre Awards ‘Gríman’, as Singer of the Year for my performance in La traviata at the Icelandic Opera. I’m honoured and proud and look forward to attend Gríman next Wednesday since I’m still here in Iceland.

Festival of Sacred Arts

I’m very excited to perform Hafliði Hallgrímsson’s new Oratorio at Hallgrímskirkja at the Festival of Sacred Arts in Reykjavík on the 1st and 2nd of June:

Beethoven 9. symfoni with the Føroya Symfoniorkestur og kór
